At Integrate Physiotherapy and Rehab, Medical Acupuncture is provided by a Registered Acupuncturist who has obtained specialized training to use Acupuncture in variety of clinical conditions and has 20 plus years of experience in using Acupuncture techniques. Acupuncture uses insertion of thin, disposable and sterile needles into the skin and tissue in specific areas on the body.

Acupuncture treatments affect the body differently than conventional Western treatments. The acupuncture treatments are building blocks, building upon the previous session, so a more balanced state gradually becomes the norm.

It is a safe and effective modality which integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) concepts of Neuroanatomy and Physiology. Acupuncture stimulates the nervous system to release chemicals in the body to relieve pain, aid in relaxation of muscles and fascia. It also helps in improved healing, reduce swelling and inflammation, improve mood, energy and better muscle and nerve function.
